Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital welcomes new residents to our beautiful lakeside community. You can live here with assurance that your personal and family health care needs will be expertly provided by an extensive medical staff and comprehensive services, backed by the expertise of one of the nation’s leading health systems.

Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital is an acute care hospital that has grown with the community for more than a century.

Founded in 1906, our facility has evolved with the community’s needs to become a regional hospital, serving mainly four counties: Mason, Oceana, the southern portion of Manistee and the western portion of Lake, plus the thousands of tourists who seek our care as they enjoy the area’s vacation amenities during the summer months.

doctorSpectrum Health Ludington Hospital has 87 inpatient beds and a wide range of services that include inpatient medical, surgical, step-down, obstetrical and critical care units, as well as a 14-bed regional behavioral health unit. At home services are available to provide care and health services in the home setting, including post-hospitalization care and rehabilitation services. Outpatient services include laboratory; cancer and hematology services; a full complement of medical imaging diagnostic services, including advanced CT and MRI; a tasteful and private Women’s Imaging Center complete with digital mammography, bone density, and pelvic and breast ultrasound; comprehensive cardiopulmonary services; rehabilitation services, including cardiac and cancer rehab and sports medicine, in the area’s most comprehensive rehab facility; and an array of outpatient surgical procedures.

A recent expansion program added all-new emergency and outpatient surgery departments, plus a new, fourth operating room. Outpatient services were consolidated near the new hospital and emergency entrances, along with a separate surgery entrance. A new helistop for Spectrum Health Aero Med was added. The completion of our expansion coincided with our affiliation with the Spectrum Health system, based in Grand Rapids and with 12 hospitals throughout West Michigan. Spectrum Health is rated one of the top 15 health care systems in the nation.

In addition, Spectrum Health Ludington Hospital has 24-hour emergency care with all-private treatment rooms, plus a “FastER track” service for treatment of less serious illnesses and injuries, with minimal wait time; and a comprehensive sleep lab with sleep disorders testing and diagnostic services.
