The Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce was established to promote commerce, trade and industry in Mason County. It is the largest business organization in the greater Mason County region with 450 member businesses and organizations.

VISION
Ludington and Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce is a hub for business engagement and development to support a vibrant and inclusive community.
MISSION
The mission of the Chamber is to promote business, enhance economic and community development, and serve as a catalyst for improving overall quality of life in Mason County.
GOALS
To provide a physical space that supports the business community aimed at:
Becoming a one-stop-shop for economic development and business growth services
Supporting business education for members and stakeholders
To serve as an advocate for improving conditions to attract and retain a vibrant business community and its workforce through:
Supporting efforts to improve infrastructure to attract year-round business activity
Serve as a catalyst on discussions with diverse stakeholders to continuously improve the quality of life in our communitiesÂ
To lead economic development efforts in the region through:
Coordinated efforts to connect and provide resources that attract and retain diverse businessesÂ
Assuming economic development responsibilities to support the region’s unique mix of industry, entrepreneurship, and agri-business
To offer an array of valuable member services to promote greater investment in the community including:Â
Engaging networking and connecting opportunities
Member to member support
Business education resources and programs
Workforce development support


Administered by the Ludington & Scottville Chamber of Commerce, the Momentum Business Plan Competition is open to any eligible independent for-profit or non-profit venture with a viable business idea, plan or invention; or an existing organization or company with less than $250,000 in sales or revenue annually. In addition to providing financial resources, the program offers the winner access to business mentors from Ludington SCORE and the board of directors to expedite the startup phase and increase the likelihood of success.
Eligible contestants can upload a business plan to momentumstartup.org. The Momentum Business Plan Competition board will evaluate submitted business plans and select five finalists to pitch their ideas in person before a panel of judges and public audience. The Future Five
Future Five is a new award spearheaded by the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce that recognizes five area young professionals who are growing and excelling in their respective fields. These individuals are currently influencing the growth, prosperity, and quality of life in Mason County and demonstrate the ability to positively impact the area in the future through professional accomplishments and community involvement.
Individuals are nominated by the community and awards are given to five influential young adults at the annual dinner and awards reception of the Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce.
