Our committees have been established to provide improved focus on Chamber initiatives and member support. As a member of The Chamber you are welcome to join in on a meeting to learn more about the initiative, share ideas, or submit an email request to be added to the committee roster.

The Ludington & Scottville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors several annual events. These events historically draw a large crowd of travelers and locals alike. There are numerous opportunities to get involved with event planning and volunteering. Join an event committee to help a dynamic group of individuals plan and execute any of these exciting events. Business Education Committee – EMAIL TO INQUIRE

Working to make our member businesses stronger and more viable is an important part of the Chamber’s mission. This committee plans and executes seminars and learning labs that focus on marketing, employee management, financial issues, as well as any other relevant topics or current issues affecting businesses in today’s marketplace.

Membership Committee – EMAIL TO INQUIRE

The Chamber provides many services to its members, but the best ideas of what the Chamber should be doing come from members themselves. This committee focuses on educating businesses on the benefits of membership and provides one-on-one contact that is often needed. This committee is concerned with developing marketing, member recruitment and retention plans.

Legislative Relations Committee – EMAIL TO INQUIRE

The Legislative Relations Committee works with our elected officials on the local, state and federal levels of government to influence pro-business policies that support economic growth. Participating in the political arena from all citizens in the community is essential for dynamic growth in Mason County. The committee meets the last Friday of each month. Accurate?


SCORE is a national non-profit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small businesses. The SCORE Committee is made up of certified counselors who work with entrepreneurs through every phase of their entrepreneurial venture: generating and assessing ideas, preparing a business plan, raising capital, and managing the operations and finances of the growing venture. SCORE counselors maintain strict confidentiality for all counseling sessions and the service is free. SCORE is a local partner with the MI-SBTDC and has an office in the Chamber building.
